also... i know there are europeans on my flist? what do you think of the law, especially the ones about marriage and inheritance? cuz we had this huge topic about marriage during french and from what i learnt/read, especially about the pacs, i'm beginning to think that european law is so complicated and the administration so difficult. i think i'd die of complication if i lived in europe. what with all the taxes and papers and legal procedures o___0;;;;

Yup. This is a translation of the book by Natsume Soseki. Supposedly, Shige's jweb is somehow 'based' on this book or something... or something. HAHAHAH yall know who Wagahai is right, Shige's excuse to marry Kei-chan... Shige's cat who is cranky and complains about Shige all the time and has been recently been touring the world.

What Shige has to do with this:

He loves cats, but sadly, is allergic. Therefore, his J-web entries are written from his "imaginary" cat Wagahai's point of view. In some way or another, Wagahai mentions Koyama and Koyama's cat Nyanta. They manage to set up "play dates" together. The name "wagahai" probably pays homage to the famous Japanese novel "Wagahai wa neko de aru" (I Am a Cat) by Natsume Soseki. (wikipedia)

And about the book:

I Am a Cat is a satire on Japanese society in the time of the Meiji Emperor. Among its major themes are the period's uneasy mix of new Western ideas and Japanese traditions, and the aping of Western customs. The novel is striking for its modernity.

The book first appeared as a set of ten installments in the literary journal Hototogisu. Soseki had originally only intended to write the short story that forms the first chapter of I Am a Cat. He was persuaded to contribute further installments by Takahama Kyoshi, one of the editors of Hototogisu. The episodic nature in which it was written may account for the stylistic incongruities between the earlier and later chapters.

Note that the title of the novel suffers in translation. In the original, it derives much of its humor from the fact that it uses pompous, formal wording wholly inappropriate to a house cat – the idiom used is that of a member of a high-born family; a more literal translation would read "We are a Cat", using the English royal plural form. The immediate impression after entering school is important
Shoon: Since it's about the season for graduating and entering school, let's start with talking together about that kind of thing.
Hikaru: The only thing I remember about my entrance ceremony was that it was over by the time you could say a－ (laugh).
Yabu: Ah~ I was like that too.
Hikaru: Because of that, when we went to the classroom afterwards, there was the feeling that everyone was really smart, and I was a bit nervous, but when I tried to talk, everybody was interesting, and within 2 days we had become good friends.
Taiyo: Me too. At first I didn't know anybody, and I was feeling a bit worried, but not long after we became quite good friends.
Yabu: What about Shoon? What did you think when you first went to school?
Shoon: It began after the entrance ceremony, in the classroom, the kid behind me suddenly stood up from his seat and wandered around, peeping into other classrooms, and the whole class thought, 'Uwa, that person's no good.' (laugh) But, like Hikaru and the others, I found they were interesting people upon talking with them, and we became good friends.
Yabu: E~ In that way, not long after we reached an understanding, and it's great that they are clearly such people you can be friends with.
Shoon: Yeah, I think it's great.
Taiyo: Usually, you can't suddenly go this far. But then, weren't you a bit unable to talk with the girls?
Yabu: Somehow in my class, even now, there's a crevice between the boys and the girls (laugh). Rather, the girls conveniently put up a 'don't talk to me' barrier.
Shoon: Hahaha, such things happen...
Yabu: We talk normally without any particular intention. Well, next is what you thought at your graduation. What do you guys have?
Taiyo: I cried at my Junior High graduation~ Even though I thought I wouldn't cry, at 'Hotaru no Hikaru'...(note: the Light of Fireflies- a song sang at graduations, has the Auld Lang Syne tune)
Shoon: Huh? 'Hotaru no Hikaru?'

Shoon: I also cried when I graduated from Junior High, as I went along with the mood.
Hikaru: As for me, because I thought I wouldn't cry... I didn't cry (laugh). In any case, I had just changed schools during the summer of Secondary 3, and I mostly didn't share the same memories with my classmates...
Yabu: Well, in the end when you had talk by yourself on your memories, you must have been troubled.
Hikaru: That's right! It was like, 'when we went to ski school... ah, I didn't go.' (laugh)
Yabu: I understand, I understand. I also don't remember a lot from Junior High. Moreover, I didn't participate in the graduation ceremony, which was too bad.
Hikaru: The strongest impression is regretting not having gone to the graduation ceremony. (laugh)

Yabu: Well, even though we won't be seeing uniform!Shoon anymore, it's a bit lonely... somehow I sound like somebody's grandma (laugh)

Shoon: Well, to be honest with myself, I don't want to graduate, that was the real intention.
Taiyo: And because of that you'll think everyday is a pleasure, right?
Shoon: Exactly! That's why I want the 3 of you to spend the rest of your high school days happily without regrets. Besides, from now, I think there are still several functions left, and I want to enjoy them with all my heart.
Taiyo: Yeah, I want to create a lot of good memories!
Hikaru: I'm looking forward to the school excursion.
Shoon: School excursions are really happy yo~!
Yabu: As for me, our school baseball club has been working really hard, I think I want to support them (laugh)
Hikaru: And not something about yourself?... anyways, Shoon, till when will you attend school?
Shoon: Erm... the last day of school is Valentine's Day exactly. (the interview took place at the beginning of February) Well, it's tension up yo ne (laugh)
Taiyo: Ahh, a confession?
Shoon: Yes! Afterall, it's because it's become 3 years that we have been together. It's like, 'Ah, I didn't receive any chocolates.' (laugh) That's why now, we're going to do a great ネタフリ. Feeling youthful during cleaning time after school

Hikaru: I'm going to talk about school again. Recently, the cleaning time after school has been really happy for me! The roof is a place where you feel really nice. That's why everyone has been going up there to take pictures, or pretend to play the guitar with the broom, and when we're having the most fun the teachers will get angry (laugh) But it seems like we didn't really clean up much...
Shoon: Ah~, but it's nice to feel 'youthful'.
Hikaru: That's right. That's why I enjoy being youthful.
Taiyo: But as your year/grade changes, you hang-out spot will also change, won't it?
Hikaru: I guess so. It's a bit lonely thinking of this...
Shoon: So it's like this, well, next, Yabu please tell us about yourself recently.
Yabu: Me recently... (really troubled) Ah, Tottsuu－(Totsuka Shota) (note: for those, who like me, don't know the Jrs well except for Yax3, A.B.C. member)
Shoon: What happened with Tottsuu?
Yabu: Today, in order to give me a birthday present, it seems like he came specially from his home to give me the pesent. I'm happy, moreover because he came just to give me that, and that's a really happy thing.
Shoon: That's a really recent thing (laugh)
Yabu: That's because it happened today (laugh)
Hikaru: Then, next is Taiyo!
Taiyo: Recently I fell into looking for delicious ramen stores.
Hikaru: Ah, Taiyo's like this. Typically, for example when he's buying a book or something, he will to a lot of research (laugh)
Shoon: Really?
Hikaru: Really. Together with his friends, he will say earnestly 'Ah, this is close to here!' That expression of earnest Taiyo is something we normally seldom see (laugh)
Taiyo: Hahaha, it may be like this.
Yabu: That so? So did you really go to a good store?
Taiyo: Yeah, we discovered several. Only, it was a bit too spicy for me... from now on, I will do further research, I'll do a lot of it (laugh)

And I was lazy so didn't translate everything, but here's a brief report~

Welcome to the Jrs canteen (found at the end of the mag)

So there were many balls, and Hikaru started juggling, and anyways eventually they started stacking the balls on Shoon's head. And it says Hikaru was creative and had loads of ideas. And it says that Hika's somebody who's good at enjoying himself anywhere, anytime.

And as for Yabu... he was thinking what to do with the many balls, and began throwing the balls at Taiyo from a short distance forcefully, and at first Taiyo was nicely saying 'itai yo' (it hurts) and eventually he retaliated, and at this sudden attack Yabu went 'it's a bit scary~' and it ended with the narrator person saying they should keep such mischief to a moderate level.

And on p167, we see a picture of Shoon holding his certificate and it's so obvious that he's been crying loads. He says that it was a precious experience to have studied in the same school as the rest of the members, it was really great, etc. It was 15th February and it was something like, he's busy with both JE and school, but he graduated without any problems, and he said, he cried really much, and he treasures all he's been through these 3 years, and he thanks all those who supported him, his teachers and friends, and he said spring was the season for entering schools and graduating, everybody let's do our best, I will also do my best, and at the end he gave a yell to the fans.

Sorry, the text got screwed and the color's bad and I was too lazy to do anything to it.
I'm going on a trip again, this time the whole family. Chotto woe betide, we're going to argue for sure.
Anyways, be back August. Meh...
Anyways I'm not leaving till tomorrow, if you want a postcard then send me your address ne~ Since I'm writing some people postcards already...and I'll need something to do whlie riding on the train... a lot of train-riding ne...*threatens everybody for their address*
SIGH. MASSU if it weren't for you smiling like that, I dunno where I'd be.

Does my Koyato icon appear what, aliased? like all pixelised on your comps? Cuz on mine it looks fine, but on some pages it just looks weird. ERGH.

Fandom wise, I'm sad. BECAUSE. I won't say yet XDD I'll talk about it when I come back cuz I'm really disappointed and too pissed to bother talking about it now.

But I've seen the K8 Utaban finally, it's really funny... hmmm somebody tell me why it wasn't liked that much? I like the host with the bandanna thing, and Ryo-chan was really funny. He kept on getting picked on at first and tonikaku, they were really funny. And Okura too, at the Profile Battle part, and Yasuda LOL... I'm SOO taking a recording with me on my trip.

And I've seen the Osaka Shokura. Errrrr. I didn't like it THAT much cuz I don't like SC too much XDDDD *everybody kicks Reiji far away* wellll it's cuz IDK ANY of the Kansai Jrs. If it weren't for Kei-chan and Yabu and Hikaru and K8 I wouldn't have watched it. Actually i was just concentrating on the performances of K8 and Kei. Blergh. It's just that IDK the Kansai Jrs. And they weren't doing anything THAT interesting IMO.

Also, last night KAT-TUN was on MS. It was so weird, any KT fans on my flist? I thought Jin was really really weird. HIs voice has changed and well he was so awkward >:(

Happy birthday to my favorite Rock Star!!

Say.. Shige is about the last NEWS member I started paying attention to. EHhh!!! *ashamed*
Arghh I fail at this... so I'll put it this way:

Ten Reasons why I like Shige/Ten things I like about him.

1. SHIGE is a nice name. You can do all sorts of things with it. Like make it into Shiggy-chan. Shige. KatoH. Shige Kato. Kato-kun. And of course Shige wo Mezashite, Shige Katouu~~, and goodness knows what else Tego comes up with.

2. His voice. Even way back in Teppen, or Cherish, or now in Akai Hana or Best Friend, his voice stands out. Oh and Sayaendo, shouldn't forget that. 'Omae no koto aishiteru' totally killed me XDDD. It's a bit... ''sandy''.. yeah, but it doesn't change, no matter whether he's singing or in dramas or his Shiget Together.

3. He's a genius!!! Seriously though, who can write songs and study law in this top uni and play guitar and be Wagahai and what not..Lol there's not much to say about this. His essays. He just... thinks a lot about everything.

4. He can dance!! Oh yeah HAHAHAHA LOLLLL don't laugh yet... well I'll ignore most of the PVs and concentrate on CHirarizumu o.0 hahaha.. yeh but he's really genki and active... say in Papa to Musume, ep 1, the last part where he's running towards Koume? Or at the end of the karaoke thingy where he was jumping up and down? He looked really youthful and energetic.. while the other members would look purely WRONG jumping around like that.

5. He makes the best muse ever. He's really easy to write about. There's so much to say about his emo-ness and low self-esteem and everything. And the revelation and reinventing himself and stuff.. and he's good inspiration too, I guess. For peeps who want to study well and stuff. unlike the boys who dropped out *cough*

6. His pairings. Koyato is my ICHIBAN. YEAH. Apart from that, LOL Nishikato/whatever you call it is hilarious. HAHA and dude, read that one where it's everyoneXShige by Kamika. Heehee. His relationship with the members isn't so obvious as fanservice would be, and you know how they all tease him about not being popular and stuff and making him go indignant..

7. His smile. LOL. The members all say his smile is the most awkward. But anyways I like it. Haha I'm running out of things to say. When he smiles, it's like, TEETH. And his jaw is slightly... off XDD but either he goes SMILE TEETH or no smile at all~~

8. Gekidan. Especially him harassing Tego and sniffing the hair of the sister.

9. His hair. It sets trends. Like Pi. And Kusa. And it stands up. And he does his own hair. Now how cool is that. He's like the make-up artist of NEWS. They should just fire the company-hired ones and give Shige double income. You've all seen the pics of him doing his hair, TEH eyeliner Myojo, and doing stuff for Hiropi and everybody else...

10. I like Shige cuz he's this bundle of odd things. You can't just say exactly what he is (unlike Massu=bao), he's just...everywhere. He does a handful of stuff and they're all extremely different things. And I respect him for being such a ''successfully-diverse'' individual.. etc.

Today I received a letter from Kelli. What happened, I will leave you to read... I would just like to mention her here... and I would like to thank her for letting me help out. I changed my banner!! Not a lot... but I was getting sick of the yellowness. Now it's not much better .. and it's bluish now. At least it's not yellow.
